Mangrove Jack's: Amber Flip-Top Bottles reviews

Purchased the 500ml for Home brew, have used for 2 brews now and cant get these 500ml ones to seal. Have tried everything but either the bottles or seals that come with them are dodgy. Purchased 650ml bottles as well and they seem to seal fine. Disappointed with these 500mls though, been brewing for 30yrs and decided to replace my aging Grolsch bottles with these – and havent had any success – buy the 650ml ones they seem to seal :)

Nice size and glass thickness, but unfortunately these bottles do not hold any of the carbonation (fizz). I've used for 2 brews (just tried 2 of these bottles in second brew) alongside capped bottles and they go flat very fast (capped bottles stay carbonated). I had high hope for these, but am quite disappointed.

As several others here have pointed out , these do not hold carbonation when used for beer. Stick with the bigger bottles , they seem to work fine

Tight seal, nice and dark. Thick glass. Perfect for storing cider

Purcased by mistake but will use these as required

I've been using these for years and they are fantastic for making homebrew. I make homemade cider and my problem is not keeping the fizz in it is that it makes too much for. I will fix that. But I have not been able to find these bottles, and now I have. I'm very happy
