These answers with others which have escaped us, banished our doubt, and with indescribable feeling, We gave him our hand as a candidate for baptism and admission into Christ's Militant Church. Three other persons were received the same morning as candidates for baptism, and it gives us pleasure to state, that the relations of all were marked with an artlessness, yet consistency and'firm conviction Of the change wrought in them, that left no doubt as to the reality of the work performed.
