"Medal of Honor or Bad Company 2?"
3 stars"

I cannot speak for the single player portion of this game but the multiplayer portion is done by the same developer of Bad Company 2, DICE, so you know what to expect.

I haven't gotten too far into the beta yet but it's quite obvious Medal of Honor was made to counter Modern Warfare 2. You can see the multiplayer of Medal of Honor as Bad Company 2 with a Modern Warfare 2 influence.

I really can't stop comparing the multiplayer to Bad Company 2 or Modern Warfare 2 so here it goes anyway. The multiplayer seems to be more close-quarters than Bad Company 2, with a focus on closed urban combat, much like Modern Warfare 2. However the maps are much much larger than Modern Warfare 2 therefore making it also similar to Bad Company 2. The ranking system and such seems to be a combination of the two.

In my honest opinion I can no longer tell the difference between these shooters apart from maps, guns and single player. Bottom line? Fun if you're into that sort of thing. If you're looking for something new you wouldn't even be reading this right now.

"Not bad - but not finished"

I've just spent the last few days cranking out the multi-player in BETA testing. I had a couple of issues with the game 1) it deviates from the original MOH WWII emphasis – this is really odd, MOH has always been a great WWII combat game, to bring it into the 21st century seems to be a dis-service to the original concept. That aside, I had one major issue with the BETA play, and that was that it is tough to distinguish whether the dude you have you weapon pointed at is coalition or opposition. The colour demarcation is really poor. I found myself squinting at the screen again and again to work out if I was firing on a friend or foe only to end up splattered in my own blood.

It will be interesting to see how the game develops.

"Looks great, sounds uninteresting."

Like the last previewer said, its pretty much the love child of BC2 and MW2 since the engine used in Multiplayer is the same as BC2, Forstbite 2 I think its called, while the developers of the multiplayer are getting a hand from the displaced employees (Or should I say the Activisioners of this generation, history repeating) of Infinity Ward after their spat with Acti, not going to be too bothered with it (haven't played beta, don't take my word for it) since apparently the singleplayer will be using a totally different engine, Unreal 3 engine, no doubt heavily modified, but that juts really doesn't help cause from the sounds of it getting used to SP won't help with MP, and I find BC 2 to be a real chore to play so Frostbite engine for MP, even though they say it won't be a recycle of BC2, is just rubbing salt on the wound as it was the engine, not the game that I hated of BC2.
