An ideal toy for introducing children to doing jigsaw puzzles. Pieces are beautiful enough to be eye catching in themselves, simple enough to be fitted together but just difficult enough to give a genuine feeling of achievement without off-putting frustration along the way. Each piece is labelled on the back according to which set it belongs to so even a very young child could be taught to put them in their right compartments in the lovely wooden box.

My 2.5 yr old absolutely loves puzzles and I think Melissa & Doug offer the best range in terms of quality and design. We have all six puzzle in a box designs (Dinosaurs, Pets, Farm Animals, Wild Animals, Construction, Vehicles). My son loves them all and they're so good for his mental development.
