I am currently trolling through the campaign story mode of this game when
I am not working or not on Xbox One (don't really think i'll upgrade the
2 Metro games I've got from X360 to XOne that's just my choice). The game
progresses slow but surely, interacting with a friend who turns out to be a
“commie” i.e. Stalinist chump who stabs you in the back and leaves you for
dead after battling “Nazis”, “wilderbeasts” and “spider” creatures.
Clearly a story-driven game. Indeed plenty of plot twists that leave one excited
about finishing the game. The Metro games have a dark, deadening, greyish feel
with an above ground situation where everything is destroyed, visually it looks
stunning and below ground the tunnel tracks are overgrown with gorse and cobwebs
then there are hideouts of the various orders, fascists, and “commies”
I don't know if this is a caricature or the fancy idea of the Metro writer. I'm
yet to find out the point of my character's “purpose” if any at all. All in
good time. Achievement/trophy points take their time but they slowly but surely
rack up also.
