Sammy, a Black man, in Mississippi in the 1950s relentless in his pursuit to end segregation in his neighborhood, challenges the un-enforcement of the Civil Rights Acts but when he encounters a Ku Klux Klan member, he continues with his quest by enlisting the help of his four friends to hold a protest outside the white county building despite the fact that they could be killed.
