Ken Van Liew was born in New Brunswick, NJ, raised middle class, graduated high school and applied for financial aid to attend college. With a narrow understanding of money, a grid iron mentality and a dream for financial success, Ken struggled through learning math and sciences. He was accepted into an engineering school and received a hard won bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. After several attempts, Ken passed his professional engineering exam which triggered a light bulb moment for him to establish a clear vision and path to fulfillment. Ken started his professional career with a civil design engineering job, twins and a six-figure debt along with a burning desire to have total fulfillment. Three years later, he cut the ribbon on the development of a $17M dollar, 72,000 square feet, 113 bed assisted living facility. He parlayed this success into a Staten Island waterfront development, and began a mastery journey with Tony Robbins. While attending a Tony Robbin's Life & Wealth Mastery event on 9-11 in Hawaii, his waterfront development was terminated due to the World Trade Center collapse. Ken managed to rise again with the development of a New Jersey Transit Village, 240 Park Avenue South, an 18-story, 52 luxury condominiums and a residential private investment fund. Ken then built this second success into three New York City high-rise developments with mezzanine loans held by Lehman Brothers. In 2008, their demise left his development group with millions in losses and three projects that vaporized overnight. At this time in his career, Ken's strength, tenacity and determination accelerated. He created the Ultimate Real Estate Development Academy and built an online business, while slowly reentering real estate. With 108,000 accumulated hours dedicated to engineering, construction, and real estate development, Ken realized his mastery of real estate could have a major impact on people's lives worldwide if he began to share his hard won experience and knowledge to help other people get to where they wanted to go in real estate. He created the Modern Wealth Building Formula as the fastest track to building wealth in real estate. Over the years, Ken has managed the syndication and development of numerous high-profile real estate investments totaling more than $1.3 billion dollars in capital investments. He has overseen the investment, finance and development phases of numerous large-scale projects, and has a proven track record of successfully handling every aspect of numerous residential, commercial and retail projects. As an educator, he has shared his wisdom with clients of his Real Estate Investing and Wealth Builders Mastermind programs. As a Professional Engineer, Ken holds Master Degrees in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and in Real Estate Development from New York University. In addition, he has lectured at the New York University Real Estate Institute and the College of Engineering at Rutgers University. Ken is a lifelong student of personal development. He is a Senior Leader in the Tony Robbins leadership organization, Robbins Research International and an Introduction Leader in the performance organization Landmark Worldwide. He has dedicated over 14 years to the Boys Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master and Eagle Scout advisor.Ken has been married for over 30 years and has helped raise three talented and successful children.
