"A good example of Monster Hunter"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

It's a solid game, interesting and well constructed. One thing that lets it down a little is the hitboxes – if you're used to full blown console MonHun, then be prepared for your dodges to not quite make it out of range, or for a swinging tail to hit you as you duck under it. The hitboxes seem a bit blockier than I'm used to. Still, the controls are responsive, and otherwise the timing is pretty typical. A fun game for newcomers and returning fans alike, as long as you don't expect too much from it. It was published in 2008, you gotta cut it a little slack.

"Is it worth getting all the monster hunter games-"
5 stars"

Sometimes I wonder if there was a point to getting the next generation in the MH series, as it seems to be just like the last one, but with some new creatures. Sometimes that's true, but with this game, throw that whole idea away. Because this game has HEAPS of new stuff. It is massive, and the amount of new features they've added is huge. If you played MHF, or MHF2, and LIKED it, then get this! You will not be dissapointed. The quality of these games is through the roof. It's a must have for any MH fan, but even better yet, it's a must have for people who think the game might be fun. Trust me, it's worth it.

"This game will rock you.. Like a hurricane!"

I Love Monster Hunter! When I first had a look at this game I was a tad bit doubtful since it is a portable game and all, but as they say, never judge a book by it's cover or in this case, game by it's cover because this game surely delivers! Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is what any PSP owner who seeks a challenge should go for, the weapon and armor crafting is so vast and the weapons.. Oh don't get me started on the weapons! the enviroments are highly detailed along with the monsters and the graphics are amazing for a PSP game. So many things you can do and I can promise that anyone who gets this game will not be dissapointed, Monster Hunter is a challenge and a half so if your looking for a new game that will almost push you into insanity then.. This is the game for YOU!!! -Huddles in a corner-.

"The best PSP game hands down"
5 stars"

This has to be the best PSP game hands down I have over 1000 hours of gameplay, great improvments over Freedom 2, an added area, new creatures being added to the huge amount already on there, a heap of new missions added to the great amount already on there & if you havn't started Monster Hunter before a great game to start on 100s of sets of armour 100s of weapons with heaps of different types the best multiplayer game hands down

"Frustratingly addictive in short bursts"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

All psp games have there ups and down and this being the same. Its really repeatative and lacks any real expansion from talk to people, get quest, collect items or waste large quantitys of lil furry animals and then collect reward. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite does all that but it keeps you addicted to the point of insanity for short periods of time. Attempting to upgrade your weapon and you cant find a resource that is required etc etc keeps you hooked. If only for a short period of time
