Morris Macmillipede longs to be a dancer. But with forty-two pairs of feet, he can't spin or jump, so everyone's laughing at him. Encouraged by the old stag beetle, though, he keeps trying. Perhaps he was just doing the wrong kind of dancing?
Mick Fitzmaurice attended university at Downing College, Cambrige. He has worked as a writer, freelance journalist and also as a teacher, and has written and directed many theatre productions for young actors. Satoshi Kitamura was born in Tokyo and worked in advertising there before moving to London in 1980. He won the Mother Goose Award for Angry Arthur and he is now one of the most distinguished illustrators in Britain, having created over 20 books for children.
