I'm always looking for places to write song ideas and this book is great for that. It has a ruled left-hand page for writing lyrics (great for lefties!) and staves on the right-hand for writing music. I also like the folder in the back for holding all those scraps of paper I often find myself writing on when an idea hits. However, it's a little bulky to keep in my purse all the time and I really wish it was spiral bound because I've already cracked the spine.
