Description

Martin Mahle, deputy head of the counterintelligence department of Germany's Federal Intelligence Agency, falls into a hornet's nest, when he witnesses a failed attempt to assassinate the wife of the German Secretary of Defence. The events are getting more dangerous. Mahle's friend, who works at the London Institute for Strategic Studies is shot. In the house of his friend, Mahle finds secret information, connecting the assassinations of the Defence Secretary's wife and the scientist. Step by step, he's getting more clues about a secret organisation of high-ranked senior soldiers and scientists. Also, the unscrupulous Secretary of Defence has his fingers in the dirty game for oil and power ... Although the original version was published in 1999 already, this book has lost nothing of its relevance and explosive force up till now. In a thrilling way, a problem is described, that could become a similar threat like the increasing shortage of the water resources.
