Description

In this hilarious mythological romp, the serpent from Eden finally gets to tell his side of the story. Eve and the serpent Bart from the Garden of Eden have been hiding out in Las Vegas, making their living performing for The Red Cherry and hoping to evade the power-hungry Dr. Adam, when the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for goddesses and otherworldly women to make a comeback arises. Harry Grey, a mere mortal and partner of the Chicago law firm Angle & Grey, gets the help of a telephone Texan psychic to perform a love spell on his ideal woman: the young, career-oriented, navy blue suit-wearing Fiona Vien. Harry has never had luck with women or life. If it weren't finding his partner Daniel Angle, an attorney with all the charm and good looks Harry never got, Harry probably wouldn't even be employed. Where Harry is great with paperwork and numbers, Daniel is talented with charming women and jurors. Harry inadvertently summons Eve as well as other ancient deities and creatures into his life and the lives of those he cares about. These deities and creatures haven't been able to appear on Earth for centuries because they did not have the requisite worship and energy from humans to do so. Harry's spell was enough to call them forth temporarily, and they have plans to stay this time. Eve sees this as her chance to get The Gospel According to Eve published and save the world from humanity, but Bart wants to go the more direct route and just speak to the people to get their story out. He also wants to find Lilith, Adam's original wife, and the forbidden fruit of Eden: jungle berries. Eve fears that if people get wind of Bart's speaking ability, his life will be in danger. Dr. Adam, the creator of a television show that is part weight loss, part drug rehab, part cognitive/behavioral therapy and part survival skill building, is coming to Las Vegas impart his wisdom on the beauty of using prescription medication, working hard and shopping. However, he arrives to find that only five people are waiting to see him, and his son Cain discovers that Eve and the talking snake have unknowingly stolen his audience. He quickly returns to his home in Chicago and hires Angle & Grey to bring down Eve and Bart's show.
