Author Biography:

John Kendrick Bangs (born May 27, 1862, died January 21, 1922). He was an American author, editor and satirist. In 1904 he was appointed editor of Puck, perhaps the foremost American humor magazine of its day. Oliver Herford (born 1863, died 1935). He was an American writer, artist and illustrator who has been called "The American Oscar Wilde". His sister Beatrice Herford was also a humorist.
