Purchased this after my 360 got the now famous Red Ring of Death, in the hopes it wouldnt happen again. Whilst sitting down earlier I smelt a peculiar smell and noted it was coming from the Xbox, turning it off I unplugged the power and noted that the Cooler and the prongs on the power supply had fused. I checked on the net and this is a common problem with these styles of coolers, and they do void your Xbox warranty. Thankfully my Xbox wasnt damaged but I will need to look around to buy a new Power Supply.

This thing is pretty expensive, loud and also this can cause your factory warranty to be void because Microsoft does not support these things. If you want to pro long the life of your console it pays more to just grab an extended warranty.
I my opinion this product is the best. I have the Thermostatic Cooling System version as well. Nyko definitely cools the Xbox 360 a lot better. Thermostatic Cooling System is a lot quieter and has the auto/manual option which is cool. Nyko's has no setting options and is loud but you do get use to it! Put it this way, any cooler is better than none.
shame it doesnt have a on/off… instead its auto… so noisey, im pretty sure you wouldnt need it going full time.. just 5–10minutes per hour or so would be good… but i guess it works ok, works as a heater aswell for your room :)
This thing is great but can cause the xbox 360 to crash according to some reports. I've had mine running with one of these for about a month its great for the heat thing . i havnt had ne problems so far but apparently it can suck too much power from your xbox 360 and cause it to crash or cause discolouration of the power socket. had a problem with my Nyko Xbox 360 Intercooler everytime i started the xbox after being left overnight the fan in the Intercooler would make a loud noise and send a virbration through the 360 taken back for replacement still do not have it but when it was working it did get rid of the hot air and cool the 360

I suppose it works, it just sounds like a jet engine in your living room. When this goes on everything else needs to be cranked up several notches so you can actually hear what your playing.
