Description

Living Off-Grid is an informative guide to self-sufficient living, encouraging you to connect to nature and protect the planet whilst bringing yourself joy. This book can be used both as a manual for those who want to bring a new vision to life and build their own home from scratch, and as an inspirational tool-kit for those who want to adapt to a more sustainable way of living a little at a time. No matter how small the action, it can make a difference - anyone, anywhere, in any size dwelling, can start. From a studio flat in the centre of London to a sprawling farm in the countryside, you can adopt off-grid and permaculture principles - shown through the case studies of projects large and small within the book. Covering Shelter (how to build your own cabin, Energy (how to use less and create your own energy), Food (how to grow your own fruit and veg in raised planters), Water (how to harvest, store and recycle water) and Waste (how to optimize the waste you create) this is a forward-thinking, positive and motivating guide to being more eco-conscious.
