great controller, shouldve been released as standard. good weight doesnt feel like its gonna blow out of your hands, not having any trouble with battery so far, have had for one month and lasts at least 8 hours on full charge

Dual Shock 3. – The long awaited controller anticipated by PlayStation gamers. Including me. When sixaxis was released, I thought it was a revolutionary way of gaming. However it missed the vibration function which was quite dissappointing. However Sony made a comeback and made a pure awesome quality controller. The Dual Shock 3. The vibrations feel just right. Not too strong, not too soft. But that's not all, it also include a sixaxis function. This is the ultimate package in one controller. Must have.

Unlike the previous Dualshock 2 for the PS2, this one is wireless, lighter and has the ability to turn off the PS3 at any time. You can even access the XMB (Cross Media Bar) at any time to send messages to other players.

As I said, this is a lot lighter and the fact that it's wireless means no hassle with plugging it in or moves wires.

The only downside is that you have to charge it – BUT, this doesn't take any more than 3 hrs (if its fully low) and overall it has a very long battery life.

An amazing controller that is easily better than the Dualshock 2 and the best for the current generation.

This controller is wicked! Great battery life ( I usaully only need to charge,at most once a week) when play my ps3 every day but what really makes it is the sixaxis & rumble mode which makes many games seem much more authentic. Beats any other controllers hands down without a doubt.

Six axis, rechargeable battery and now dual shock as well. I agree with the other statements that something was missing when the first ps3 controllers came out without dual shock, especially in car racing games there was little feeling to indicate speed.

I haven't had a change to play with it for long periods of time but my first impression is it feels only slightly heavier than the ps3 six axis controller and nowhere near the brick like weight of the xbox 360 controller. The built in rechargeable batteries are such a good idea as it means your not spending lots of money on batteries.

The vibration feature of the Dual Shock 3 adds a much better overall experience to the game and makes everything seem a lot more realistic than the standard controller.

This works really well on Modern Warfare 2, as the controller vibrates every time you fire and every time you get shot or injured. It's great for racing games too, as it vibrates every time you hit something or go off track.

Since virtually all new games are now coming out with Dual Shock 3 compatibility, this controller is a must have. I'm very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting one.

If the one controller that comes with the ps3 isn't enough, then this is definately an option. You can charge your first and continue playing with your second, and since it's made by the same group who made the ps3, you can be sure it'll work without a problem.

Can't go wrong with getting extra controllers! I now have four, one just sixaxis so will be upgrading that one to dual shock 3 asap! Highly recommend this product times 3 to all PS3 users!

This is a must have for all PS3 owners, especially those whose systems only came with the sixaxis controller. Cordless, vibration motors, and motion sensitive, all in one package.

Not the most ergonomically inspired controller, as anyone who's played basically any fighting game would tell you, but the simple layout has remained with the controller since it's inception with the Playstation in 1994. Must be doing something right if it's gone unchanged for 16 years!

Praise Jeebus, Dual-shock 3 is here. Well its been here for quite a while, yet it only recently have I dared to try it, and I'm glad I did. First off; it feels great, its comfortable and sleek, and will be very familiar to owners of the PSX and PS2. Secondly; the fact it now has the rumble feature, adds that little bit more immersion to your gaming. My main annoyance is that Sony have still insisted on keeping the wierd triggers (which can be fixed with an attachment).

There are sometimes when you're always better to buy the real thing, and these controllers are one of those times. They're reliable, durable and good quality.

Controller only works if connected to the console via the cable but will not hold a charge so cannot play it wirelessly. MA sent a replacement controller but same thing. Surfed net and no fix could be found. Am at wits end. All of my other controllers charge fine (3 of them).

I was lucky to pick up two of these beauties for the price of one in Mighty Apes recent sale. These are not the knock off cheap versions you can often see listed on other sites, these are genuine Sony Playstation Dual Shock controllers. Beat that EB games!!!!

No controller has ever come close to being as good as the quintessential PlayStation controller. The Dual Shock 3 is everything you would expect in terms of design and quality. The built-in rechargeable battery also means that you don't have to fork out extra for either batteries or a Play & Charge Kit, like some other consoles out there.

When I say overpriced, I mean in general (not specifically on mighty ape). As a necessary part of the playstation, sony should rethink its controller prices and make them more accessible to players.

Great deal on a controller. Requested for item to be signed for on delivery – but unfortunately it wasn't (courier company's fault) and MightyApe happily refunded the postage! Will definately shop again!

Comfortable fit, great responsiveness, lightweight but doesn't feel fragile. This is truly an amazing controller. Both analogue sticks and button controls work well. Only grievance from me is that it could have come with a USB cable, but that's somethin­g minor

This wireless controller is great! it is a good size, weight and easy to hold and lose it out of your hands. Even better to be able to remember you need to go and check something (like tea) and still be able to keep paying… No wires to worry about. A definate recommendation to anyone looking for a PS3 contoller.

What can I say? The PS3 Dual Shock 3 controller is a great addition to the PS3. It makes a good second controller. There is no need to buy batteries which makes it a plus and the lightweight design makes playing much more enjoyable.

A must for all those who need a second controller for multiplayer, or just to replace the old crusty one that has been working for years.

Ps3 controllers are by far the best! and good being black so they dont look dirty after awhile.

The thing that still amazes me is that the original Six Axis was 133gms and then they added the rumble and it only put the weight up to 184gms. That might sound like a large jump (nearly 40%) but the controller feels perfectly weighted and the rumble effect is better than ever. People mention battery life. What I have done is buy a 2nd one and rotate them on the charger. By the way, I LOVE the wireless!! Awesome controller!

Long battery life and always good to have a second controller for tow player games.
