"Not too bad."
4 stars"

At first the price seems a little high for all of the memory cards and they are required so its an extra cost with the Vita. I did a little research and the price for the cards is reasonable if the quality is good with fast transfer speeds etc.

"Essential purchase"
4 stars"

If you plan on purchasing a PS Vita, you really need to pick up a memory card – this 16GB version offering the best value (from what is currently on offer in our territory). While there is some dissent due to the fact that the Vita is using a proprietary card such as this, there is some reasonable thinking behind this. With digital distribution becoming more of a focus for game publishers, chances are you will download some games for your Vita. By using a proprietary card that has standardized features (such as data transfer speed), game developers can ensure that people who purchase from retail (i.e. Mighty Ape) or via digital download (PS store) will have the same gameplay experience – no discernible differences in loading times, streaming data etc. It does make your initial console purchase a bit more expensive, but unfortunately at this stage we just have to accept it.

"Likely the worst part of a psvita"
2 stars"

It truly stinks that we have to purchase these proprietary memory cards when sony could have made the psv compatible with plain old sd cards or psp style memory sticks. Disappointing
