This is the game we have all been waiting for. The long anticipated sequel to Gold and Silver. Now you can laugh at those who said Gold and Silver wouldn't be remade.
Why is this game so awesome? Let's see… All 493 Pokémon are able to follow behind you as you walk. Shiny Pokemon are still shiny in the overworld. This is such a cute little feature!
The Pokémon storage system, the bag, the party screen…the touch screen is being more utilized now! Which is great to hear, to a touch screen lover.
Kyogre and Groudon appear in HeartGold and SoulSilver, respectively, and Rayquaza can be caught in both games when the other Pokemon(Kyogre or Groudon in SoulSilver/HeartGold, respectively). Latias (in HeartGold) or Latios (in SoulSilver) can be found roaming in Kanto as well.
There is a new sidequest, the Pokéthlon, which features ten mini-games where you control your Pokémon in fun athletic competitions. You can now choose a starter Pokémon from Kanto and Hoenn from Professor Oak and Steven Stone.
With your SoulSilver, you get a PokeWalker. It's a Pokeball shaped pedometre. You can store Pokemon in it and as you walk, your Pokemon gains exp.
And the final change I'm noting is the GB Player, which is a key item which allows you to hear the game music, old style. And those are only a few of the larger changes. There are a load of minor changes you'd expect, like new characters etc
This game has gotten superb reviews from my friends, I highly suggest you try it, whether you're a long time Pokemon fan or just a gamer, wanting to try something new.
