"The next evolution in Pokemon"
5 stars"

Unlike other uninformed previewers, I am aware that these games were not pushed out yearly. Sword and Shield were actually in development since before Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were even released on 3DS, just after the original Sun and Moon came out. This means that by the release date they will have been in development for THREE YEARS. As well, in regards to the “rehash” of 3DS era models and textures, not only has Gamefreak confirmed this to be false, but other game developers who have developed games on both the 3DS and the Switch have stated it is IMPOSSIBLE for the models to be reused in this way. One of those developers has even gone on record saying he is amazed that it has taken this long for Gamefreak to start limiting the Pokedex, as the sheer workload they face with each new console generation is staggering. With gen 8 Pokémon, form changes, Megas, etc, there will be over 1000 different models required. That amount was always going to eventually become unsustainable. People need to enjoy the game as it is and stop bagging it because their understanding of video game development is too poor to comprehend the sheer scale of what Gamefreak is up against. At the very least, they need to do their research and not bag a product that a massive team has put thousands of hours of blood, sweat and tears into. As for me I will be purchasing both games and playing the hell out of them. And this is from someob3 who has in fact, played Pokémon from it's very beginning, back when Red and Blue first launched, and every game since.

"Worth It"
5 stars"

I know that a lot of people aren't happy with these games but as it's been stated I will still be buying this day one, Gamefreak has time to work and fix on the bugs and adding Pokemon into future games will be a lot easier since it's the first move to a Home Console in a long time.

"Excitement"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Haven't been this excited for a new Pokemon game in years. New Pokemon, New features, An amazing New Region and so much more. Gamefreak has prioritised harder content for us older fans by introducing ‘Max Raid Battles’ which actually look like a challenge. So much more to come in the coming months before release and I for one are excited to see what else they have in store for us.

"Not all pokemon"
1 stars"

In an attempt to push these games out yearly Gamefreak has decided to stop allowing trainers to “Catch 'em All” and have discontinued their brand image theme of bringing your previous partners from old games into this one. Substantial portions of the Pokedex are not included in these games. Models are rehashed versions from the 3DS systems. Features such as Z-Moves, Mega Evolution, and Battle Tower are outright removed. These are very bare bones Pokemon games yet Gamefreak are charging $30 more than their handheld predecessors-

"Game Freak Lied"
1 stars"

If you have preordered either one of the games, cancel your order. Game Freak and the Pokémon Company lied about their work and passion, and Sword and Shield is ultimately a big ball of disappointments and false statements. I guess EA, Bethesda, Blizzard and the other gaming world clowns can welcome Game Freak to their little circus.

Don't buy this junk. Your money is better spent on better developers.

"This game is a rushed mess"
3 stars"

This game is pokemon so we will all enjoy it and sadly thats a fact. That doesn't mean we can strive for a better game. This game is lazy and we have been lied to there is proof they ripped the models from sun and moon. Its okay to not give this game 5 stars and say you love it. Theres nothing wrong with wanting the game we deserve

"#GameFreakLied"

Cuts over 50% of the Pokemon and tells us that it's to improve animations and graphics. Yet they are re-using the animations/models from Pokemon X and Y. Half-assed a game and we have to pay higher prices for it. Yea…nah. I'm going to vote with my wallet and pass on this one.
