Pokemon White Version (U.S version, region free) previews

Its the USA version of the game. Which would be compatible on the USA Dsi but not on ours. Stop saying its a fake. And do some research. Or just simply read the top.

My friends has played a bit of the Japanese rom for it and I have as well and I think it looks great. Those that may think it is fake because it is not compatible with a NZ DSi have been misled because this is real and the DSi has a chip that forbids foreign games from being played on it so you would have to buy a game from our region to play on it. I am definitely going to get this game when I can. Thanks A.C.

After playing the Japanese version of Black, I am eager to buy the US version of White. This new version is very difficult to compare to the other 4, as the Pokemon are all new, during your stay in the Unova region, you will not find any Pokemon from any of its predecessors, giving the game a fresh new feel to it, while the consistency of the main games storyline, 8gyms, evil company e.t.c is still the same but with very nice changes from the previous I think to get the full potential from this game you will need to try the Japanese version is well, because as all the games, (excluding gen 1) they have been more “politically correct” and more suitable for children rather than the Japanese games However it will be very good to actually /read/ the storyline :3

Some people mentioning “region lock = fake” etc. Lemme clear this up.

Black/White are DSi ENHANCED TITLES. (Features video chat) The previous pokemon titles are not. Being a DSi Enhanced Title gives possibility to the developers region locking the title.

Remember DSiWare stores are “region locked”, NZ/Aus gets a different store to US/Europe/Japan etc, DSi hardware therefore have regions flagged in it, I believe that the older DS/Lite has no such information in the hardware and therefore the game, when it realises is not in a DSi/XL, will/has to ignore the region check and will work fine.

Unless someone on the inside has let the information slip, we don't even know 100% if the U.S. Version will not work in our New Zealand / Aus DSi yet. We can only assume that this will be the case looking at the JP version and the DSi store regions.

All we know at this stage is: Japanese copies of black/white will not work in english DSi/XL consoles, but they do in english DS/L consoles.

Its best to assume it won't work if you have a DSi.

I honestly can wait for white! BUt I find it rather stupid that they cant be played on a DSi "/ even tho I do have a DS Lite but still…

Ok so yes the new Pokemon do look strange but some of them are actually kinda cool. I brought the Japanese version and it's pretty awesome; there's all new camera angles and you can enter buildings from the side and if you don't make a move in a battle for a while the camera starts floating which I thought was really neat. It's nice how you have two best friends and they have the other two starters also the c-gear function makes trading and downloading new content a breeze. it's a lot more complex than previous versions and apart from (in my opinion) needing a few design tweaks (ie some of the new Pokemon are just weird) all in all it is definitely a must for Pokemon fans of any age.

In my opinion Pokemon Black/White is great but not as good as the other games in the series. The new Pokemon are nowhere near as good as the other ones (bar about 10).

I had real doubts about the 5th Gen Pokemon, and for the most part I still do, however putting that aside this game from what I've seen on the internet has a lot more features to offer than previous games. Not to mention the almost fully 3D look and fully animated battles. I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars because I don't think it'll live up to the hype. But please prove me wrong Pokemon!

Being such a Pokemon fan, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, so I got the Japanese version Day 1 release. I have to say, it is AMAZING. The graphics are awesome for a DS. However, the Pokemon that are being introduced are starting to get a little ridiculous, looks and name wise… I do however like that in the two different versions, you have a bit of a layout difference (i.e: Black City vs. White Forest) and there seem to be a lot more exclusive Pokemon each version. But to be honest, Nintendo, this may be the last generation of Pokemon before I throw in my towel…

Awesome game inhanced features and buying it for the cheap price is reasonable. I personally have a us dsi so it going to be awesome
