I purchased this to use to as a remote control for netflix and plex, which is pretty much all I use my 360 for now. And it works just as expected. Battery life is much longer on the remote vs a wireless controller, And it controls both my retail 360, and my rgh 360 from off all the way to app launch and use in the app, and exiting back to the main menu and power off again. If you use your xbox 360 for Netflix, and streaming local media I highly recommend this remote. My one negative comment would be because it's InfraRed and not wireless radio I can't hide my 360 in the back of my home theatre cabinet anymore. But this is how all 360 media remotes work. And using wireless would drain the batteries much faster. Build quality isn't amazing. It's not a flimsy remote and all the buttons work well, the battery cover is slightly loose and doesn't fit as well as some more expensive universal remotes would. But as a cheap way to save batteries or avoid constantly charging power packs I highly recommend this remote.
