Description

Excerpt from Program of Exercises Inaugurating Our New Building Campaign, Wednesday, June 23, 1948 Realizing the great need for a new and fully equipped church edifice the membership and friends of Marcus Church have steadfastly set their collective face forward and are advancing toward their ultimate goal. As one member energetically expressed to the pastor a few days ago: We must have a new church and we will have it! Many sacrifices have already been made, but this is somewhat early to speak of sacrifice, for the long road ahead will be characterized by hard work, unselfish giving, and fervent prayer. Let us not forget that our goal is not just a new church building, but rather an adequately-equipped church edifice in which God can work for the salvation of His people in the Marcus community, and irradiating from this community, influence all parts of the world. There is a task for every member; there is a burden for each to carry! Let us press forward, prayerfully united and unconquerable, until the last brick has been laid and the last nail has been driven. Then our immediate goal will have been reached, and victory will be ours. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
