Excerpt from Public Laws of the State of North Carolina, Passed by the General Assembly, at Its Session of 1860-'61: Together With the Comptroller's Statement of Public Revenue and Expenditure Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That the sum of five thou sand dollars is hereby appropriated for the sole and exclu sive purpose of erecting a wall around the lands of the asylum - this amount shall be paid to the order of the directors of the asylum by the State treasurer in bonds of the State, payable thirty years after date, and taken at their par value, and the treasurer of the State is hereby authorized and required to issue the bonds of the State, coupons attached to their amount.
