I purchased this book for my Mum, who is a real dog lover. She loves it! Being able to pick it up and read a couple of quick stories suited her as she was in hospital at the time. Lovely gift.
Great book very moving. Even cried reading some of the stories. Soooo sad. Those poor dogs.
A great idea for a book, acknowledging the dogs, both pets and working dogs who were affected in some way by the 2010, 2011 Christchurch Quakes. A pity then that the stories are simply factual and lack any real emotion or warmth, however the photography is outstanding and definitely shows emotion and warmth, and the book is worth looking at if only for that.
Great stories, outstanding photography. There could have been a little more detail about the dogs and/or their owners. The stories were a little superficial, but this may not trouble true dog lovers.
