Description

This work is set in London 1666. Young Nick Truelove blames King Charless II for the death of his parents, and vows to get revent. He forms a special friendship with a young raven and inspired by its bold behavious and wily cunning bluffs his way into the centre of the King's power, the Tower of London. But the Great Fire and an encounter with the King himself will change Nick's life for ever. Pippa Goodhart's novel is firmly rooted in history and vividly describes the horror of the Plague and the Great Fire. At its heart though is a thrilling adventure about a boy, his battle with injustice, and his special relationship with a wild animal.
