Razer Thresher 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset - PS4 reviews

Probably the best gaming headset I've had. Excellent sound, can hear everything loudly and clearly, great microphone where my voice comes out clearly and above all the wireless signal is excellent. Best thing about this headset is the comfort! It doesn't put a lot of pressure on your head, even while wearing glasses. I can game with these headphones for a long time before feeling the pressure.

Only downside is you are reliant on the wireless dongle, so it's pretty much gonna live at home and not outside.

Overall good quality. Materials are top notch and would be extremely hard to break or bend the headband. Very comfortable. However max volume is quite low compared to some headsets. When watching YouTube or Netflix on the ps4 I sometimes struggle to hear quieter conversations. Also if you try to use the wireless dongle in a tv with a USB and optical port you will find this headset will drop out with a horrendous beep every few seconds and God forbid you move.. It'll beep over and over. Overall the headset is good quality physically and has great audio however the dropping out and volume limit really holds this headset back from how good it could be.

The best (PS4) I have been using Sony's official gold 2.0 headset since last March and they have been really good but are a bit short on the sound and build quality. Always wanted a great wireless headset that delivers a great experience overall. I have searched the net for a while and found that most great headset either wired type or a set that is beyond $350. The Razer Thresher 7.1 is a complete package for someone requires a great sound and build quality at a very good price. This headset holds up nicely against the more expensive higher end headsets. after using it for a week I have found out that I couldn't be any happier with it. The 7.1 setting is amazing very clear and has an accurate sound. The Dolby audio is even more spectacular for those who are after theatre experience. Great purchase, great battery life around 14h straight, high-quality materials including cables.

Sound quality is 5/5, surround sound makes it really good for sound hearing in FPS games as you can hear every direction people are coming from. The materials its made from are high quality meaning it will last a long time (an issue i've had with the sony ps4 headsets). Could be better if it had an adjust ability for game vs party audio & would be nice if they had added an aux port.

In no way does it state that it is non compatible with ps slims even tho they are ps4s, why not make a system that works for both instead of one and mislead customers.. Wish I could review the headset but sadly game sound won't work but chat does.

Hi I hope you are reading this I use to own this type of headset but I never got it from mighty ape I got mine from jbi hi fi before you purchase or buy this headset please don’t the reason why is the first time I got it well it started to fall apart the hinges on the side will start to loosen or break and completely come off I had a replacement done and then after that the battery life was terrible it would die and chew it’s power really fast it didn’t even last up to 16 hours let alone it did only 6 or 7 hours or it would just die randomly or it’ll turn off so I had to return it I try again cause we’ll I did love the sound quality but the product it’s self how it’s made material wise is so poor breaks easily the manufacturing seems dodgy the 3rd time I got it like it lasted me a year and it already started to break from side hinges and it’s weird cause I’ve always kept it safe and properly and hardly used it and it can be sore uncomfortable in the ears the foam starts to fade completely and your ears will hurt after taking them off so I please recommend you not to buy it this will save you time and money to buy a better brand or save up more for a better brand and headset quality by far the worst razer product

After using these for a few weeks, I've since discovered that this headset is awesome… If you play on PC.. On a PS4, not so much. The volume is so low compared to PC that you lose so much detail in sounds (don't bother trying to listen for footsteps in an FPS), bass is lacking and mic monitoring is basically non-existent unless you have the mic in your mouth! For a headset advertised for the PS4, it is extremely disappointing that they don't work very well with the PS4. Build quality is awesome, definitely one of the comfiest headset I've worn but basically a waste of money since I specifically bought it for my console.

Excellent pair of headphones. Very premium feeling. Sounds awesome. Build quality is excellent. Only gripe is mic monitoring volume is so low it barely counts as a feature. Definitely recommend if you do not care for mic monitoring.

Awesome sound and all but the quality leaves much to desire. Not even 6 months old and the plastic started breaking away not much longer and one side completely snapped. Pay $300 for something that could not even last longer than 6 months
