Reason Knows Nothing Of - a compelling story depicting love, tragedy, barriers and the basic human need to seek solace at times of personal strife. The contemporary storyline is set in Boston involving a couple whom tragedy befalls and the young sentient nurse whom attempts to go beyond medical care to attend to the pair. Steve and Gina are in their first month of their engagement when an accident in the kitchen burns Gina's upper extremities. Julie, a new to the nursing profession, takes special interest in both Steve and Gina's plight as she is close in age and is touched by Steve's doting and constant vigil. Gina, once a beautiful woman retreats and hides behind a hospital curtain isolating herself from the world to the dismay of those who care for her. The characters and the storyline utilize the notions of self perception and human emotional walls as motifs to illustrate the emphasis on beauty that is prevalent in today's media-laden culture further perpetuating the need for self reliance.
