Love it! Love the way the different factions balance each other out and play off each other! The components and art work are fantastic and the box is the perfect tight packed size! The Clockwork expansion (or the community created PNP Better Bots) help to flesh out the 2 player experience and make it work really well! Really great, very well executed idea! Would recommend!

Do you like cute animals- Do you like competitive strategy- Do you like cut throat competition between players- If so Root is for you.

Definitely pleased with this purchase. The quality is really high, with well-made pieces and adorable artwork. But looks can be deceiving, this is a challenging game! Figuring out all the rules takes a little while but once you've figured it out it's great fun.

MightyApe service was excellent as always – but as far as the game is concerned – It looks good (well made/attractive components) but we haven't even been able to understand how to play – the instructions are too verbose and seem to either explain basic elements with too much detail, or too little to know what you're supposed to actually do (basic gameplay, let alone tactics or variables) and generally are left confused and frustrated… Will continue trying to learn/understand the instructions and edit my review accordingly later, if my opinion changes…
