Description
'Round the Bend Cafe' is a romance adventure novel. When novice pilot Al Middleton sees the young and mysterious waitress Starr, it is truly love at first sight and his heart soars like the planes he flies. He's brought crashingly back to earth by Cafe' owner Kate, who sees herself as Starr's protector. It's a battle of wills to see who wins out in the end, and it will require discoveries about Starr's hidden past, a town scandal, and several near tragedies before a victor is crowned.
Author Biography:
Born in 1949 near an Air Force base in New York State, J.L. Warnock developed an early interest in flying. That desire to "get off the ground" would have to wait nearly 40 years. In the meantime, J.L. spent 4 years in Army Military Intelligence, and then earned bachelor's and master's degrees in education. After nearly 30 years teaching everything from elementary school to graduate level aerospace courses, J.L. retired. He has written numerous short stories in several genres, but this is his first novel.
