After studying metallurgy and marketing he became in succession: Marketing Director of Kentucky Fried Chicken; Executive Director of Interface/Squires Holdings, the food franchise subsidiary of a listed hotel group; a founding member of Nando's Chickenland; co-founder of Parker Gordon Associates; founder of Deloitte & Touche's franchise division; senior partner of Franchising Plus and a partner in the highly successful Seattle Coffee Company chain. A past chairman of the Franchising Association of South Africa and named Franchising Personality of the Year in 1995, Eric is a widely sought after strategist and speaker on business renewal, motivation and expansion. His passion is the promotion of a strong entrepreneurial culture in South Africa, and he takes great pride in the fact that none of his three children work for a boss.
