Barrie's incredible and incredibly challenging novel about the boyhood of the barely fictional Tommy Sandy's is as fresh in both style and content today as it was the day it was published. Sir George Douglas, wrote "In it he has found, or rather made, an artistic form of his own, to suit himself, and his easy, seemingly irregular, narrative compels the reader to follow him as irresistibly as the Piper of Hamlin compelled the children." Founded in 2017 the J.M.Barrie Literary Society aims to take Barrie out of the shadows of his most famous work Peter Pan and shine a light on his many other works, both prose and drama.
