This was our absolute number one toy from two weeks till about one year old. Very easy for tiny babies to play with, it makes a beautiful gentle sounds when the beads move. You can slowly rotate it and let tiny babies watch, and it's invaluable for early teething before hand eye coordination is better. With an older baby we keep it in the car, and the little one grips it tight and bashes it around. Usefully, it squashes flat; so you can pack it away in a change bag, etc and bring it out for some fun. Just a beautiful toy.

I bought this for my 2.5 month old thinking he would probably be a bit too young for it, but he loves it! He enjoys watching me move it for him (the wooden beads move and clatter) and the pieces of elastic are easy for him to hold onto himself. Great toy.
