I bought this feeder out of sheer desperation for a full night's sleep! My cat used to wake us up at 4am for feeding, but now with the new feeder I am able to time when the food gets released and how much. My cat is also on a diet and this feeder has helped me keep a track of how much she is eating daily. The setup was easy and the app is very user-friendly- the camera is also a fun time-killer! The microphone doesn't seem to work, and the dispensing of the food is quite noisy, but you can disable the initial high-pitched beeping by going into the feed setting on the app (top right-hand corner) and disabling the feed beep function. Would highly recommend to fellow feline enthusiasts who have a furry friend that likes to pester them for food!

Works really well with the Smart life app, video feed is clear and quick to connect, integrating with home assistant also works ok, though bear in mind that the video feed is not available in home assistant and you can only access the feeding automations if you create a scene inside the smart life app with the defined portions, this is then exposed in HA as a scene to activate. Overall it does what we need it to, an RTSP feed would have made this perfect.

Functionally, this product does exactly what it advertises. No complaints there. I would give it 5 stars… However, when feeding out portions on schedule it emits a very loud, high pitched sound that I can't seem to turn off or adjust via any configuration. I might have to go hunting with a pair of pliers and disable that speaker!

Goes offline constantly meaning pet misses feeding. Even randomly dispensed a feed in the middle of the day once. Mighty Ape refunded me after trying a replacement that still didn't work.

I bought this in hopes that I can feed my cat during the day while I'm at work, so that she may be less hungry when we get home, very excited to see how this helps. This is first night of it being set up and she is catching on to the sound of the food dropping. I have turned off the beeps, as that was a little loud for her. The portion size is perfect. The camera is great quality and also has good night vision. I had concerns that it wouldn't connect to our wifi as we have only one connection that is supposed to function as 2.4ghz and 5ghz. But it connected perfectly first try.

Unfortunately, as a few others have mentioned, it constantly goes offline which means missed feedings. We have had this since mid-August and it goes offline at least once every 2 days, if not daily sometimes. Which means you need to reset it. We tried using it while we were away for a few days, using this in the morning and a friend comes over at night and of the 4 days we were away it worked once then went offline. Friend reset it every night and by morning it was offline again. So it certainly isn't reliable and should only be used while you're around – which kind of defeats the point I suppose. Other than that, it works as advertised and the camera is pretty good. Grateful that you're able to turn that high pitched sound off in the app!

No complaints.. Great machine! The camera is great day and night. I can go out and still keep an eye on my cat. Can also talk to her which works really well.. She comes up to the machine every time she hears my voice, soooo cute! Gives me peace of mind when I go out for a couple hours! I recommend. :)

Its handy, easy to set up. The camera is very clear and very handy to be able to remotely feed. But it drops off line after 18–24 hours and needs to be reset meaning its no use for going away. I have had to start using a wemo power plug so I can turn it off and back on when it drops offline

I'm not a large fan of cat biscuits for their food but like to give my cat a few in the morning. The set time is fantastic as I'm no longer tripping over him on my way down the stairs in the morning. The feeder portions are very small so you need to keep the quantity in mind when feeding. Super useful when going away for just a weekend and can't find anyone to feed the cat – can easily set it off from a distance in the app and can see in the camera if the cat is nearby. Feeder also gives early warning on when food levels are “low” so can casually add it to your shopping list to pick up in the next couple weeks. Not sure why there's a microphone function but it worked well to tell my flatmates to stop overfeeding the cat (much to their surprise to suddenly hear my voice from out of town). Stoked the cat hasn't figured out how to set it off on his own yet.

The provided USB cable broke the day before our trip, if it were a day later it would've been a huge inconvenience

So easy to use! Love the camera function and my cat loves the food coming out, he always runs to it. Good app, easy to navigate. Turned the beep off for when the food comes out, and the food despensing isnt that noisy either.

Had some trouble getting the QR code to scan for starting up the product in the app, but everything since then has worked perfectly. I saw some comments about the annoying beeping sound but I managed to turn that off no problem via the app.

Worked great for a while – exactly as promised and was the best price one on the market I felt. Sadly, the video feed no longer works even after multiple restarts and using different devices, etc.

The Smart Apr WiFi Pet feeder is compact and looks great. Easy and quick to set up and yes, it does have an unpleasant high pitched beep when food is being released but easy to turn that off in the app. The portion size is small but it's easy to custom the appropriate number of portions for your pet. Our only gripe would be although the camera is good it would be more useful if it was tilted down slightly so you could actually see your cat feeding and how much the pet has eaten. As it is we can only see part of our cat's back. All in all a great product.
