Setup wasn't the easiest, also if you're using it outside of your wifi it doesn't work.. The remote in my car is old and the range isn't great so I purchased this so I can open when coming in to the street. It won't do this because my phone had to me connected to my home wifi

This works awesome and is easy to install
Since purchasing this it’s made life a breeze I was forever going out and forgetting to close the door, now I can check easily
Works well with the app, couldnt get it to connect to alexa
Instructions should have been proof read – because they make little sense! MightyApe if you're gunna put your name on these things you should at least check the documentation so people can use it easily. Eventually got it to work with some deep googling and a Reddit question.
Mighty Ape was great with their support to get this sorted. Received units with a dead battery in the sensor unit. Got this all configured with Smart Home after a bit of work. Required #1 – you will need dual 220 volt outlets up by the garage door opener; one for this and one for the garage door motor. This device does not power the motor, just takes care of the signal to open the door. Required #2 – you will need a decent WiFi signal out in the garage so the device can hook up to your router/access point. Required #3 – check the battery in the little sensor. It can be installed so that the door button still works manually and via your phone or app. Once the device is in Smart Home, it becomes available for Google Home and Alexa. Now we can tell if the door is open or not and, within Smart Home you can test at a certain time to see if the door is open, if it is, it will close it automatically. I have mine doing this about an hour after sunset since Smart Home allows you to test for this. Geofencing works as well so that when I get within a certain distance of the house, and the door is closed, it will open it.
Installation was a breeze – couldn't get any simpler. Works well with Google Assistant. Had some issues with the battery that came inclusive, but MightyApe stepped in to sort it out quickly. Great experience overall.

Got this all configured with Smart Home within minutes. Getting the sensor to sync to the controller took 1/2 and hour with no joy. After doing some tests the battery that came with the unit was dead. Sounds like an old 1970s issue of batteries required. Remember, you will need to change the coin battery every few … So the opener will know what position the door is in. I certainly would have engineered this a different way. Also, you need another outlet at the opener or else this wont work
Works well, great to easily open/close the doors and monitor status and if others open them. My third unit was to get a door sensor as a replacement after the original failed with ~18 mths use. The sensors should be available as spares.
No problem with the installation, just replaced the single power point with double on the door motor and set up was straight forward.
Setup is quite full on, I was expecting it to just be an IR blaster. Instead, you have to replace the button on your wall, which is a bit annoying – I can't have both this set up and a button. Have had to put the remote from my car on the wall.
Once setup, all works well in the smart life app mostly – but I've had to turn notifications off, as every 2 minutes it's claiming the garage has changed state (and when I open the app, it hasn't). However, there are very little settings in the connected services. Alexa and Google Home can't show the state of the garage, and a pin is needed to open it, which makes sense from a security perspective but makes it less convenient.
