When it comes to classics like The sound of music you want the best quality sound and picture so I brought the blu-ray version with this in mind and enjoyed it from start to finish. The picture and sound quality of excellent. Somehow this 1960's musical is still very entertaining after all these years. There is an extra disc containing a documentry of Julie's recent visit to the locations where The sound of music was filmed.
Very good, nice and warm too. Musical films are very positive especially with the latest – Glee, High school musical – This film is not to forget
Why is it that every time I watch The Sound Of Music it always seems better than it was last time- This time I had read Julie Andrews' book on her life up to the making of this film, also I had watch the wonderful Documentary with this Blu Ray copy of Julie's return to Salzburg. To top that off the day I watched the movie was Julie Andrews' 80th birthday.
