"Very Good Game; Great Storyline!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The journey of this game is the fun part, not the destination. There are so many choices for you to take; good or evil. For example, if some innocent guy is getting mugged, you could help him and scare off the thugs (earn light side points), or you could agree with the thugs and get the innocent guy killed (earn dark side points). The dark side is ALOT easier, as they have great force powers for killing enemies. But, Jedi have the fancy abilities to aid in battle, and its much more fun being Jedi than Sith. Great game, must have for Star Wars fans.

""Your choice is everything""
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

In terms of Storyline, it doesn't cast a shadow on the original. However, the new gameplay and character interraction within the crew MORE than make up for it. The downside to all this is once you've made your choice, there's no going back. Light Side or Dark Side Your choice is everything.

"Way cool Star Wars experience."
4 stars"

I remember playing the first installment in this series and it was an awesome game. This one is equally as good despite the horribly rushed ending. I really think the bad guys in this game are outstanding, but underutilized. Darth Nihilus has to be the coolest bad guy ever created in the Star Wars franchise.

The sad thing about this game series is to the best of my knowledge the development companies haven't chosen to continue it. I really wish they had, as the games are so much fun.

"Very important game"
3 stars"

This is an enormously important game, even if it's far from perfect. Like other reviewers here I have mixed feelings, but for different reasons.

The good: preserves the good things from the first game; the UI is greatly improved. It's much more effective and exciting to train non-Jedi members of your crew to become Jedi than it's usually given credit for. Above all, the dialogue, and interactions with other characters generally, is astonishingly sophisticated, enormously involved, and has very important effects on the game. It is outmatched only by “Planescape: Torment”. This is a game where you save before a major conversation just like you save before a major battle.

The bad: the designers aimed for a complex, convoluted, psychological plot, more about your character than about the fate of the galaxy – a sharp contrast with the first game – and it kind of works, in places; but towards the end everything just devolves into confusion, and the moral aspect vanishes altogether. The final episode, especially, is the most criticised part of the game, and is a complete anticlimax.

It's a good game. It's worth playing. It's really worth playing. But it's not worth re-playing. When you start over, you know how messed up it's going to get; there's no incentive to persist. In view of this, is it worth the price, to play through it just once? – maybe, maybe. The good points are really good.

"At this price, it's a must buy!"

Anyone you calls him/herself a game or star wars fanatic must play this game. Often said to be one of the best RPG series of all time, this is a game does not disappoint. Interactive plot scenes and great combat make this game a truly enjoyable experience. The story alone is one of the main factors why you should invest in this game and it's rich and well told story, told within a world that feels as real (if not more) as the original star wars movies (let's exclude the prequels.) Oh, and if you haven't played the first game, my recommendation is to buy both this and the first game, and play them back to back.

"Good game bad cpu"

"Brilliant - But its not SWTOR"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

There are some problems with this game. It seems stiff at times the controls arent perfect and graphics arent the best. But they made a pretty good game for the time peroid it was released at. It has a good rich story and is pretty heavy in dialogue at times. if they made a KOTOR 3 im sure it would be epic with the technology we have today but i think they went and made it online with the upcoming release of SWTOR cant wait for that itll be epic!!!!

"Buggy game but enjoyable."
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The game is quite buggy because it was made by Obsidian instead of Bioware like the original. Its story and conversations are also weaker then the first but it is still a very enjoyable game and I am still playing it to this day.

It is recommended that you install the game on a older pc because it does not like xp vista or 7.

"Brilliant but incomplete!"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Great game, as to be expected from Obsidian, and a brilliant followup to the first game, However dramas and deadlines did this game no justice, with vast amounts cut from the release. Many talented people and a dedicated community have done a great job in putting it back together again though with the Kotor 2 Restoration mod (google TSLRCM)!

"For it's time, marvelous"
4 stars"

An older game now, but one which I like to come back to. The first game was good, but a little clumsy. All the things that made the first game difficult to interact with were fixed in the second game.

The story line is excellent, and gives you plenty of choice, where you can be good, evil, or both.

There are many choices that effect the outcome of your character and their friends, not to mention so many weapons and abilities.

There are a few excellent twists as well, it's a game I definitely recommend.

"Excellent RPG"

An absolutely great game, with many new features added to a very similar platform to the original Knights of The Old Republic. Featuring a captivating storyline, this game involves the player on a level that is seldom seen amongst most of today's games.

"Great follow-on for KoTOR 1"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

love Star Wars, and I love the original KoTOR, so this game had quite a lot to live up too. I enjoy the increased options in creating and upgrading weapons and armor, but Obsidian can't hold a flame to Bioware in terms of story. The pace of the game is a bit slow for my liking and you don't feel quite as invested in the characters, but it does feel heaps bigger that KoTOR 1 and who doesn't love hacking away with a lightsaber.

"Get the Restored-Content Mod"
5 stars"

I personally love this game. So much so that I originally bought it for xbox, then was so excited to find out about the RCm that I bought it again on pc. If you do buy this game, patch it then download the RCM. You won't regret it

"Star wars at its best"
5 stars"

Great Rpg, The actions you take effect the world around you chahge your appearences and the way others act around you. Interactive conersations super missions and Great graphics. Star wars at its best.

"Sion is english"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Star Wars KotoR II beats its predecessor by far. Over the KotoR I, KotoR II updates clothing so that the old Jedi and Sith robes are now more like capes. With more than one Sith lord to eradicate (one who sounds like an evil English-man), this game makes for an exiting addition to the Star Wars Knights of the old Republic saga.

"Truly Brilliant"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I am a huge fan of the first KOTOR game and up till I purchased this, thought it could get no better. Boy was I wrong. Even though it is a mouse and keyboard game, it is so much easier to control and the graphics are truly spectacular. It has a story line which brings out the good(or pure evil, if thats what your into) in any gamer. Legendary. And the best value for money ive seen.
