Description

"Teach Your Kid..." PROVIDES A SIMPLE 8 STEP PROCESS to parents and coaches on how to teach children to hit a baseball or softball. It is a process that will dramatically increase the chances of any child to make contact with the ball. Kevin Gallagher designed this book to convince the vast audience of parents that they, regardless of their background, can teach their child to hit a baseball/softball. The book is an easy read and is a story of the state of Baseball today. It describes the reasons that have contributed to the games declining popularity in America and the disappearing participation of America's youth, with an emphasis on the flawed teaching of the Launch Angle or Lift Swing in MLB. "Teach Your Kid..." will bring you to the inevitable conclusion that the only way to keep your child involved with the game is to have them hit the ball and have fun! Mr. Gallagher includes a link to a 24 minute Instructional Video broken down step by step to help you visualize what is being taught.

Author Biography:

Kevin Gallagher is a person who tries on a daily basis to inspire hope in everyone he meets. This doesn't take an extreme amount of effort, but rather simply recognizing that we all struggle with something. And even if we don't know the exact worries or wounds of another, if we meet that unknown with kindness, it somehow has a soothing effect and we are all better for it.In this book he addresses the struggle of a vast audience of parents who want to help their child participate in a sport, but lack the know-how. Kevin meets that struggle with insight and gentleness, providing hope to the parent via a solution they can learn and teach.Kevin was a 3 sport athletic star in High School going on to play both College Basketball and Baseball. It was in Baseball he excelled the most. He was a 3 time East Coast Athletic Conference ( ECAC ) All Star playing for Division 1A Pace University, University Athlete of the Year 3 years in a row, set 6 School Batting Records, was inducted into the Pace University Hall of Fame, finished in the Top Ten in batting and was an All Star playing for the Mt. Vernon Generals in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) under the coaching guidance of Jack Fisher, former long-time Major League Pitcher and played with the Pittsburgh Pirates Class A team before an injury ended his career abruptly. Kevin has also coached at numerous levels including Little League, American Legion, High School, College and in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, a Major League Baseball Funded Summer League for Draft Prospects. Writing this book was born from Kevin's own wound of having his baseball career ended prematurely, and has been a passion of his for a long, long time. This is just another example of Kevin meeting another's struggle, in this case the parent trying to help his child, with insight, gentleness and hope. Ceej has been a practising illustrator for the past ten years, and has been drawing in general for much longer than that. Taking inspiration from people and their surroundings, he gets a real kick out of capturing the little details that make a piece of work stand out, learning new processes and challenging his comfort zone whenever he gets the chance. Growing up, he surrounded himself with comics, pictorial reference books and illustrated literature (factual or fictional), as well as spending his Saturday mornings gazing in wonder at his favourite cartoons, so being able to use his creativity to make a living is a childhood dream come true.Having lived in London until recently, he now resides on the south coast of England, where the air is much cleaner. When he's not hunched over the desk in his studio, or happily sketching in the quiet corner of a coffee shop, he spends time with his son, wife and friends - heading to the beach, exploring the surrounding countryside or returning to the city for a culture top-up.
