I tender it modestly and without comment, except the Simple remark that my task has been conscientiously performed, and that it is based on years of personal experience in sheep husbandry. While it would be presumptuous in me to say that the volume herewith tendered to yourselves and the public, fully meets the requirements of modern shepherding in the United States, it is not too much to aver that our great industry has outgrown the manuals heretofore published.
