I wish you to under stand, however, that we are not responsible for every expression'that may be found in the writings of any individual, though we may approve of his works in the main; and he may be classed among our stan dard writers. It is only our Confession of Faith that we adopt as a whole, as containing the system of doctrines taught ln the Bible.
