Description

This book began around 1984 as a series of lessons on the basics of the Christian faith. The purpose was to teach those who were new to Christian teachings. It started as an eight part series with the first lesson being about the authority of the Bible. It ended with a lesson on faithfulness called "continuing steadfastly." Over the years the many questions and thoughts raised resulted in a progression of changes. The previous versions consisting of eight short booklets are now condensed into one. Since 1984 an increasing level of confusion and doubt has grown in our society about the Bible. That led to more questions from learners, and the need for more material that was also simple to understand. That required a fairly long study on the nature of the Bible. This book largely covers the integrity of the Bible, followed by what an inquirer should do about what is learned. This book will not be right for everyone, but should serve a good purpose for people who have little or no church background already. Along with the Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia Evangelizing Association (KYOWVA), and others, George helped to found Parkersburg Christian Church. He has started or assisted in starting other churches. He attended Johnson University and has degrees from Wheaton College and the Cincinnati Christian Seminary.
