Jenifer Tull-Gauger is a 7th degree black belt holding the title of Kyoshi. She is the highest ranking female instructor in the United Ryukyu Kempo Alliance, an international alliance of traditional Okinawan karate dojos. She has trained in karate since 1999 and early in her training, she started assisting in the children's programs. Jenifer is co-heads programs for all ages at the private dojo she owns and runs with her husband. In her writing career, Jenifer's pictures and writings have appeared in several publications including Highlights Magazine for Children. She is a long-time active member of the international Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Jenifer enjoys putting her karate and writing passions together in dojo newsletters, blogs and children's picture books.Jenifer loves her continuous training in karate because it's interesting and fun, and it helps her in all areas of life.
