That is why I Should like to point out here, in connection with some interesting cases of impulsions, a disposition of the mind, quite general among the obsessed and impulsive, which plays, I think, a pretty important part in at least a certain number of cases. The observations being rather curious in themselves, we Shall give a brief resume of them, then we Shall look for those feelings which are pretty nearly the same in spite of the diversity of the impulsions, and we Shall see the part such feelings play in the genesis of the impulsions.
