Author Biography

Jennifer Peterson loves finding Joy! Jennifer Peterson is an executive coach, author, artist and speaker who empowers others to live life on purpose. She creates safe, supportive, and challenging relationships where clients can explore and find their own way to success. She is passionate about working with clients to unpack all of the "stuff" that no longer serves them in life, and then creating new habits so that they will find purpose, passion and meaning. Jennifer uses multiple approaches (including positive psychology, biofeedback and neuroscience) to assist individuals in their own development. Her primary focus combines emotional intelligence, heart work, resilience and mindfulness to help people become aware of what is preventing them from leading the life they desire. Jennifer's work experience includes more than 20 years of nonprofit, education, and healthcare leadership, culminating as the Executive Director for Helping Paws, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to individuals with physical disabilities. As a service dog recipient, she knows first hand how service dogs can change lives. Jennifer was injured in a downhill skiing accident when she was 17. She broke her neck and has lived her life ever since as a quadriplegic with limited use of her hands and arms and no function below her chest. Jennifer's disability has not slowed her down much as she works fulltime as an executive coach, is adjunct facility at a local university, and enjoys collaborative work with coaching colleagues. Her personal life is also full with her latest adventure of owning a horse named Joy, and learning how to drive a carriage. She also enjoys painting, kayaking, reading, and spending time in nature with her husband Pete and their two dogs, and three cats.
