The Kitchen Science Cookbook reviews

As a primary teacher, I'm always looking for new ideas to help my students to learn about science concepts. This book is amazing, not only is it filled with fun experiments that the students love to do, but it also has an easy to understand explanation section that I can use to help me explain the concepts to my kids. I don't have a background in science but with this book I feel confident to set up experiments which allow the students to discover. The ingredients are really cheap and easily available from the supermarket which also helps!

I bought this book for my Grandchildren as they were coming to stay and it resulted in hours of fun. The recipes were easy to follow and each one taught a different science concept. I already had all of the ingredients in my cupboard so we could do everything straight away. Great book and so easy to follow!

In an age where I am always trying to get my kids to spend less time looking at their screens, this book came to save the day! From the moment it arrived, my kids were captivated. Building catapults, making ice cream, stacking sugar solution they didn't even pick up their tablets once as they were too busy having fun in the kitchen. I highly reccomend this book for parents who are trying to balance fun with education, as by the end of the day my two were spouting off all sorts of science facts that they had learned, while also eating the evidence. We only got through 4 experiments so there are plenty more to try but for our first weekend we think this book is amazing!

This is a beautiful book filled with science ideas for all ages. What I loved is that all of the ingredients were easy to find around the house, I didn't need to go shopping for anything. I haven't done science since I was at school so was a little nervous about buying a science book, but it's nothing like a science book, it reads like a cookbook which I'm much more familiar with. There are no complicated words and the experiments are so much fun. What I loved is that the scientific explanations are clearly written in a way that easy to understand and taught us something new without us feeling like we were back at school. This book is perfect for anybody looking for fun activities that are cheap and education to fill the holidays with.

Scientifically minded young great grandchildren were delighted with the book. Being a NZ book appealed.
