10/10 would Zelda again.
Just an all round exceptionally great game. Just so beautiful to look at. Perfection ❤
Oh my god this game is so good. When you go back to other games you will still be thinking about Zelda BotW and be thinking why can't it be like THAT. I wasn't sure at first but the non-linear progression aspect is awesome. No grinding of content you don't want just to progress. Do what you want to do just for fun. And fun it is. Long time gamers who are fatigued at exploring and play for achieving will go back to the days of their first games and just love exploring. I haven't had that since picking up my first epic open game as a teenager. I can't recommend this game enough. I hope it's a game changer and future games use aspects of BotW because honestly I never knew I wanted a game like this but now it's all I want. And more of it. Buy this.
This game is so fantastic, I regret not buying a switch and this game a year ago. Most fun I have had on a video game since the ds and 3ds era's. Definitely would recommend this game to anyone that plays video games
While Breath of the Wild is a bit of a departure from other Zelda games, those changes and experiments are what makes this game shine. It is super immersive and I often found entire night gobbled up by it with out noticing. A must for anyone who loves open-world games, and if you don't, this might be the game to win you over to them.
This game is the reason why you need to get the Switch! It is so fun to play when you have all the freedom to explore and learn all kind of skills: rock climbing, hunting, fishing, cooking, skiing, riding..... It is the best RPG game have played so far!
At first I wasn't hooked but went travelling and this game is the perfect fit, I am not a previous player of Zelda so it was my first time into the Zelda universe. This is a game that does not hand hold, and everything has physics applied..Once you have that “Aha” moment this game just grabs you addiction wise, it doesn't have the content or volume of things to do such as Skyrim or Witcher 3. But what it does have is the ability to let you go anywhere, and enjoy exploring, along with this being an instant pick up and putdown game, makes it a absolute must buy with the Switch.
I was brought up in the golden age of video games, spending my paper run money at the local arcades. I've always longed to have that sense of adventure and discovery that I had then but never quite experienced it to that extent in the modern gaming era. BOTW has been a revelation in that not only has it matched that excitement but exceeded it. This game tests you in every way possible, giving you an absolute freedom to explore. That exploration is never forced or repetitive and meets you at your level. The game can be super hard or very easy depending on how you approach it. My 6 year old boy has stuck to the storyline and defeated Ganon by himself. My 8 year old has become a master at killing lynel and now spends his time honing his skills so he can one day defeat a Silver. My 10 year old daughter spends her time avoiding conflict and gathering ingredients. Her inventory has little in the way of power ups and weapons, instead making way for a vast array of cooked meals and deserts she has developed. $100 is a lot to spend on a game but I promise this game will be your perfect match – 10/10.
First game I got for my switch and nothing compares! Takes me back to my childhood. Love the freedom in this game, can play it however you like. Every time I play I find something new. Cannot recommend it enough. 11/10
I wasn't a fan of Zelda series before I purchased this game. However, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild changed my opinion. Really beautiful game with tons of gameplay that really makes you think of what to do next! Progress the story or do more exploring.
The only drawback that only adds to the difficulty in my opinion is weapons break very fast but don't let that spoil your experience! Highly recommend this game! You won't regret this one.
Wasnt a huge fan of Zelda but this game has made me a fan highly recommend
First time playing a game from this franchise and I love every bit of it. So much to do in this game it will keep you entertained for a while.
I now know why it was rated 'game of the year.
This game will consume you for weeks on end. Get it.
Amazing game! A must have!!
Ive wrwcked up some serious hours playong this! Fantastic!
Never played any Zelda games till this one. And it is the best game I have ever played. The atmosphere, the combat and animations. Everything in this game is so fleshed out and immersive. Only wish my kid self could have played this.
I've put over 65 hours into this game already, It's one of the best open world games to ever come out. Probably not the best game for everyone. But if something like Skyrim was a little to much in terms of grinding (and fighting) and little lacking in a general sense of wonder and freedom (something that nintendo nails), Then this is something to pick up. Honestly a amazing game.
Probably the most extensive Zelda to date. What a Vast amazing world to be explored. If you complete the game in its entirety not just the story but shrine quests and side quests you will get 100 hours of Enternainment possibly even more. I Highly recommend this game to anyone and everyone.
I don't believe any game is perfect but this one manages to do enough to be damn close. It'll have things that will annoy some but despite its flaws and blemishes is manages to do what it's supposed to do, and that's draw you into the world to explore its vast landscapes and plunder shrines. I haven't been this absorbed and child like with a game since the late 90's / early 2000's. A must buy for all those who love games.
I've played about 45 hours of this and not really far into the story because of all the amazing little things to do in the packed world. That's how good it is.
You gotta play this game.
This is an unmissable game, and perfect for the Switch as it's suited for both longer play sessions, and short bursts on the go. Easily one of my top games of all time and well deserving of the critical acclaim.
