Marketing seems to want to neglect the wii u version of this title. This is a shame – because the game is excellent and runs well on wii u.
I honestly held off from buying for the longest time as I wanted to know how the switch copy ran in comparison.
However you have nothing to worry about here, the switch and wii u versions both run about the same most of the time, with some drops in frames with multiple enemies. It's surprising to see how well it runs on the old console. It's not perfect, but it runs fine. I also checked to see how hot the console ran after a few hours of play. It was surprisingly cool which was good.
Just wanted to touch on performance of this version, so otherwise check out other reviews elsewhere for content etc.
