Description

A compelling story of forbidden love, joy, heartbreak, and despair touching the lives of four generations from the 1950s. Eve Randolph experiences such things as coincidence, synchronicity, and predestination, while frustration, disappointment and anguish are never far away. Unfolding in country New South Wales, where Eve suffers her greatest loss, the story moves to Sydney where Eve and her eventual family settle because of her husband's work. The story moves on to Melbourne, Victoria, where Eve's granddaughter attends university and has a part-time job at a newspaper office. It is here that the dramatic and unexpected occurs. Emotions are stretched, memories are revived, but with the understanding and love of her family, and an unexpected turn in the story, Eve can finally put the past behind her. The story moves on to England after a most unlikely and eventful meeting, leading Eve, and two of her grandchildren to Craigmore, where the story reaches its unexpected but realistic conclusion.
