This is the motive principle of worship in earth and heaven. If the saints on earth rejoice, they rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. If they rely on the divine promises, they are all yea and amen in Christ Jesus, to the glory of God the Father. If they give thanks, it is that the thanksgiving of many may redound to the glory of God. If they confess Christ as Lord, it is to the glory of God the Father. And so, also, in heaven, whether itho Isaiah, or Daniel, or Stephen, or John, who, in vision, is permitted to look within the vail, the same glory is revealed - the same ascriptions of glory tendered. The new song - the Te Deum of the upper sanctuary, - is, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, he unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, for ever and ever.
