Having read the book, I was a bit dubious about seeing the movie. So many times, a book I have enjoyed immensely has been spoiled the minute Hollywood gets hold of it.
I'm ecstatic that this is NOT the case with The Polar Express! With beautiful animation, a true to the book story line and great vocal cast, this is worth buying, watching and then watching again. Sit the kids down or view on your own, you won't be disappointed.
I can't go through the Christmas period without watching this film. Appealing to young and old alike, it brings back the magic of Christmas and reminds me to let my inner child sneak out a little during the festive season!
Such a great story to keep you believing in the magic of christmas.
Tom Hanks does an incredible job voicing all the characters. The soundtrack is catchy and there is just the right amount of whimsy to make this my go-to Christmas movie.
It's the story of a boy who is starting to question Santa's existence. The Polar Express takes him on an exciting and enlightening journey where he discovers the true magic of Christmas and that Santa is indeed real.
This is a heartwarming movie and a must see if you haven't already.
Tom Hanks in every part is very clever and the tension with the train on the ice is really attention grabbing. A must for Christmas viewing or anytime really. If you like trains you gotta see it.
Saw the movie recently with our children at Xmas-loved it! It is one for the dvd library. :-)
