Very unusual and loved it. Have watched again and will no doubt watch it again.

Visually stunning, even if you're not a fan of Monster flicks or scifi id still recommend giving it a shot. Even if just for Michael Shannon slowly losing the plot.
Brilliant..while weird!!
I'll admit, del Toro lost me after the Hellboy trainwreck of a movie where there was no story and nothing but special effects.
This is totally different. It's a wonderful romance story, replete with villains you'll want to punch through the screen (Shannon's Richard Strickland is amazing!). But the real star is Sally Hawkins, who plays a mute woman. She comes alive in The Shape of Water in ways I've never seen before – this is nothing like watching her in Paddington, believe you me :)
The creature itself is done with del Toro's attention to detail in special effects. At its heart, The Shape of Water is a beautiful love story that will keep you entranced for the entire duration. You won't want to miss it.
